The city of Portland is relocating and replacing its aging water mains as part of the Westside Header project. The project involves the installation of 5,000 feet of large diameter steel water mains that will replace the old ones. Last week, a 12-inch secondary pipe was installed alongside the 36-inch water transmission main.
