Update: The electrical work planned for the Sellwood Bridge on Thursday has been postponed until Thursday, Jan. 26 due to winter weather conditions.

If your morning commute includes the Sellwood Bridge, you might want to plan for a detour on Thursday.

Electrical work on the Sellwood Bridge will require a single lane to be closed at times on Thursday, Jan. 19 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m, according to a press release from Multnomah County.

Flaggers will direct traffic in both directions around the closed section of the westbound lane and drivers could experience delays of up to 15 minutes. The bridge sidewalk will remain open.

Multnomah County officials recommend using the Ross Island or Hawthorne bridges.
