Northwest Front Avenue looks like it’s going to be blowing up fairly soon.

According to city documents, two sizable multifamily development projects are in the works for the riverfront street in Northwest Portland, just north of the Fremont Bridge.
One consists of two, four-story buildings, each with 55 units and 55 stalls of below-grade parking located on Northwest Front Avenue between Northwest 16th and 18th avenues. Lee Novak, director of development for the Nevada office of Fore Property Group, is developing the project with Leeb Architects as the design team, according to Bureau of Development Services staff.
The other project consists of a six-story, 149-unit building plus a two-story, four-unit townhome with 158 spaces of at-grade and below-grade parking. It’s located on Northwest Front Street and Sherlock Avenue.
According to a pre-application conference notice, C2K Architecture is designing that project. The developer was not listed. The conference is scheduled for Sept. 4.
