A 33,000-square-foot warehouse building in Northeast will be the new home of Rose City Futsal. General contractor JH Kelly is converting the former Standard TV & Appliance outlet into a clubhouse for players of futsal, an indoor variation of soccer played by five-player teams on a playing surface about the size of a basketball court.

The building will feature two turf fields and a hard court, a 1,000 square foot pub/restaurant, Clive’s Public House, and an eastside location of Far Post Soccer Supply. Additionally, a viewing deck, mezzanine, and party/conference room are being built.聽 Work on the project also includes seismic upgrades,聽 new high-energy lights with plexiglass covers, and new electrical, plumbing, fire sprinkler and HVAC systems. The project was designed by architect Dan Glennon and is slated for opening in early September.
