Permits issued

  • Towne Storage Property LLC of El Segundo, California, was issued a $2.8 million permit to renovate the historic Towne Storage building at 17 S.E. Third Ave. The restoration of the five-story, 101-year-old building involves demolition, envelope improvements, core and shell construction and seismic upgrades encompassing 108,600 square feet. The architect is LRS Architects and the contractor is Bremik Construction.
  • DTC LLC of Bend was issued a $934,254 permit to add a second floor in an existing warehouse space at 5522 N.E. 122nd Ave. in the Argay neighborhood near Portland International Airport. The applicant is Roger Walters of Fairview and the contractor is Pacwest II of Portland.
  • B. Marilyn Hannah and Richard Hannah of Vancouver, Washington, were issued a $1 million permit to perform a tenant improvement 12030 S.E. Stark St. in the Mill Park neighborhood. The scope of work includes removal and addition of partition walls for waiting area, offices and storage area. The architect is LRS Architects and the contractor is Perlo Construction.
  • Kaiser Group LLC of Portland was issued an $8.3 million permit to build an eight-story mixed-use building at 12 N.E. Fremont St. in the Eliot neighborhood. The project includes 14 residential units with below-ground parking, two ground-floor retail units and a rooftop deck for the top two condo units only. The architect is PATH Architecture.
  • Mississippi Avenue Apartments LLC was issued a $600,000 permit on a deferred submittal to add an unbonded post-tensioning system to the four-story apartment project at 878 N. Fremont St. in the Boise neighborhood. The project involves 45 units above first-floor commercial space and underground parking. The applicant and contractor is Marathon Construction Services LLC of Wilsonville.
  • Portland Habilitation Center Inc. was issued six permits totaling $6.7 million to build six two- and three-story apartment buildings on Southeast 146th Avenue in the Hazelwood neighborhood. The applicant is Doug Circosta Architect LLC and the contractor is Silco Commercial Construction Inc.
  • The Portland Development Commission was issued a $5.3 million permit to build a four-story mixed-use development with ground-floor retail space and three floors of apartments at 5859 S.E. 92nd Ave. in the Lents neighborhood. The applicant is Hacker and the contractor is Bremik Construction.
  • 8L LLC was issued a $35,000 permit on a deferred submittal at the 38 Davis mixed-use project at 38 N.W. Davis St. in Old Town Chinatown. The change involves adding gates to the exterior stairs, bolted connections to concrete and connection support at the roof. The applicant is Steve Billings and the contractor is Andersen Construction.
