Building permits issued for Sept. 24-30

• A $2,000,000 addition permit was issued for improvements to the Cascadian Terrace Apartments at 5700 N. Kerby Ave. Plans call for remodeling interior common areas, enclosing balconies on the building’s north side, and expanding balconies on the south side. The applicant is Alex Salazar of Salazar Architect Inc., the contractor is LMC Construction, and the owner is Cascadian Affordable LP of Newport Beach, California.

• A $12,000,000 addition permit was issued for a new addition between buildings B and C on the west side of the Adidas Village campus at 5055 N. Greeley Ave. The applicant is Brendan Hart of Hacker, the contractor is PCL Construction Services Inc. of Bellevue, Washington, and the owner is Adidas Village Corporation.

• A $500,000 alteration permit was issued for a tenant improvement at a New Seasons store at 6400 N. Interstate Ave. The applicant is Jonathan Dunn of Woodblock Architecture, the contractor is R&H Construction, and the owner is Interstate Investment Properties LLC.

• A $28,234,765 new construction permit was issued for Raleigh 22 – a six-story, 173-unit mixed-use building developed by Cairn Pacific at 2222 N.W. Raleigh St. The applicant is Blair Gardner of SERA Architects, the contractor is R&H Residential Construction Co., and the owner is 2222 Raleigh LLC of San Mateo, California.

• A $692,664 new construction permit was issued on deferred submittal for aluminum-clad wood and vinyl windows on an apartment building under construction at 2121 N.W. Raleigh St. The applicants are Justin Paull of JBA-ACCO and Jacob Tabor of ASI, the contractor is JBA ACCO LLC, and the owner is XPO Properties Inc.

• A $500,000 new construction permit was issued on deferred submittal for MEP seismic anchorage on the Broadway Tower at 1455 S.W. Broadway. The applicant is Mike Zupan of Howard S. Wright, the contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction LLC, and the owner is BDC/SW Broadway LLC.

Building permit intakes for Sept. 24-30

• Three permits valued at a combined $690,000 filed on deferred submittal are under review for the city of Portland’s 10th and Yamhill garage renovation at 730 S.W. 10th Ave. Permits sought are for cold-formed metal framing, pre-case concrete panels and curtainwall. The applicant is Miles McFarland of Howard S. Wright, the contractor is Balfour Beatty Construction LLC, and the owner is the city of Portland.

• A $1,500,000 alteration permit is under review for accessibility upgrades to the DoubleTree Hotel Portland at 1000 N.E. Multnomah St. The applicant is Zac Horton of Faster Permits and the owner is DW Portland LLC of Houston, Texas. The primary contractor is out to bid.

• A $644,136 alteration permit is under review for the renovation of an interior showroom, new exterior canopies and exterior cladding repair of the Jim Fisher Volvo dealership at 731 S.W. 21st Ave. The applicant is Alexander Lungershausen of Hennebery Eddy Architects, the contractor is R&H Construction, and the owner is West 21 LLC.

• A $4,560,000 new construction permit is under review for improvements to Leach Botanical Garden at 6550 S.E. 122nd Ave., including a new 800-square-foot arbor/terrace, tree walk, parking lots, shop and entry gate. The applicant is Ross Swanson of Portland Parks & Recreation, and the owner is the city of Portland. A contractor is not listed.

• A $13,753,321 new construction permit is under review for a three-story self-storage building at 15935 E/SE Division St. The applicant is Andisheh Afghan of AAI Engineering, the contractor is Perlo Construction, and the owner is LG Division Storage LLC of Austin, Texas.

• A $1,200,000 alteration permit was issued for interior and exterior improvements to Portland International Airport’s Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting building at 5250 N.E. Marine Drive. The applicant is Mike Coyle of Faster Permits, the contractor is JR Merit Inc., and the owner is the Port of Portland.

• A $4,600,000 alteration permit was issued for tenant improvements from the basement to the fourth floor of the Wells Fargo Center at 1300 S.W. Fifth Ave. The applicant is John Heinen of SERA Architects, the contractor is Turner Construction Company, and the owner is SOF-XI WFP Owner LLC of Greenwich, Connecticut.
