  • Design advice is sought for a seven-story, 100-unit apartment building at 1500 S.W. Taylor St. The building would be a sister to an existing project across Southwest 15th Avenue. That one is planned (now in permit review) as a seven-story, 107-unit apartment building on a lot at 930 S.W. 15th Ave. The ground floor of the building on Taylor Street would include a lobby, residential units, commercial spaces and parking for 30 cars. The applicant is Robert Leeb of Leeb Architects, and the owner is 1500 Taylor LLC, which is managed by Jeffery Gow of Bellevue, Washington-based Shelter Holdings.
  • Design advice is sought for the renovation of the Galleria Building at 600 S.W. 10th Ave. Anticipated work on the building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, includes a new office penthouse and roof terraces. The applicant is Kurt Schultz of SERA Architects, and the owner is UPG Galleria Property Owner LLC, which is registered to Unico Properties of Seattle. According to Multnomah County property records, the building was sold last month for $64,100,000; a limited liability corporation associated with the Bill Naito Company was the seller.
  • A design advice request is pending for development of a four-story medical office building and surface parking lot at Adventist Medical Center, at 1500 S.E. 96th Ave. The applicant is Tyler Carlson of Clark/Kjos Architects, and the owner is Oregon Conference Education & Association.
  • Early assistance is sought for a major renovation of the Health Technology Building on Portland Community College’s Sylvania campus, at 11900 S.W. 49th Ave. Plans call for upgrades to the building structure and systems, and work to respond to changing program needs. Site improvements and parking lot improvements are also anticipated, as well as a new entry on Southwest 49th Avenue.
  • Early assistance is sought for a new 19-unit apartment building on a vacant lot at 2326 N. Vancouver Ave. The building would hold approximately 12,000 to 14,000 square feet, and contain recreational common areas and a bike parking room. The applicant is Steve Fosler of Fosler Portland Architecture, and the owner is Shirley Sloan.
  • Early assistance is sought for a 20-unit building with affordable housing units at 5275 N. Bowdoin St. The applicant is Frank Stock of WDC Properties, and the owner is the Mark R Madden Revocable Living Trust.
  • Early assistance is sought for a new 4,000-square-foot institutional building with associated landscaping and parking at 11035 N.E. Sandy Blvd. The applicant is Dan Bramske of EMA Architecture LLC, and the owner is Morrison Child and Family Services.
  • Early assistance is sought for a new 23,000-square-foot prefabricated metal building at 4000 N.E. Columbia Blvd. The building would consist of approximately 15,000 square feet of maintenance space and 7,000 square feet of office space. The applicant is Zac Horton of Faster Permits, and the owner is DFA LLC of Las Vegas.
  • Early assistance is sought for a 30-unit multifamily building with four stories of living space above one level of parking at 1325 S.W. Gibbs St. Amenity bonuses will be utilized to obtain the full allowable 30 units. The entire development would be built on an existing parking lot on the property, which also includes an existing assisted living facility. The applicant is Sean O’Neill of Tucson, Arizona-based Scotia Western States Housing LLC, and the owner is Martini Properties LP.
  • A pre-application conference is requested to replace the existing OHSU vehicle storage and garage building at 810 S.W. Gaines St. with an 8,000-square-foot recycling center that would hold recycling space, a motor pool, a machine shop and shared offices. The applicant is Anthony Moreschi of OHSU, and the owner is the state of Oregon.
  • A pre-application conference is requested for a 19-unit apartment building with four floors of market-rate apartments over a walk-out basement level at 2124 N.W. Flanders St. Outdoor balcony space would be included on floors one through four, and the building would contain a roof deck, partial green roof and solar panels. The applicant is Marissa Brown of Emerick Architects, and the owner is 2124 N.W. Flanders LLC, which is registered to Elliott and Katharine Gansner.
  • A pre-application conference is sought for the master plan development of approximately eight acres of the RiverPlace area at 0150 S.W. Montgomery St. The applicant is Katherine Schultz of GBD Architects, and the owner is 0150 SW Montgomery Investments LLC, of which NBP Capital LLC is the sole member.
  • A Type II design review is pending for minor changes to a previously-approved land use case for the renovation of the west anchor space at Lloyd Center, at 901 N.E. Lloyd Center. Adjustments requested are to the locations of tenant entrances. The applicant is Anna Wilcox of Waterleaf Architecture, and the owner is Capref Lloyd Center Anchor LLC of Dallas, Texas.
