ilani Casino Resort’s six-story parking structure houses 2,600 stalls in 1 million square feet of cast-in-place concrete. The parking structure utilizes a tiered speed ramp system that allows for quick ingress and egress. The exterior features an as-cast concrete finish with concrete reveals in the spandrels to provide an architectural relief to the massing of the façade.

The parking structure incorporates climate-controlled elevator lobbies that provide a direct connection to the casino’s ground-level main entrance. It also features a new expanded canopy cover that ties into the same entrance. The ground level has a dedicated area for VIP parking.

Stairwells and elevator towers utilize reinforced masonry clad with custom stone. Due to seismic separation requirements, it is actually four different structures. Due to security concerns and flexibility for changes in the future, shear walls were removed early in the design. The result of this was the need to engage on custom expansion joints to satisfy the seismic separation requirements through the structure.

Patron safety and ease of access were two of ilani’s key goals. The parking structure has audio/visual systems throughout the space to accompany more than 300 security cameras, automated access control systems and plate recognition for VIP members.
