Elissa Peters is a respected civil engineer that is recognized for her considerable contributions to programs that provide educational and mentorship opportunities for women, students, and up-and-coming engineers. Throughout her 19-year career, it has been evident that Peters isn鈥檛 afraid to tackle challenges head on.

She has played an integral role in a variety of projects including the Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex, La Center Middle School, The Vancouver Waterfront Redevelopment, and various parks initiatives across the City of Vancouver and Clark County, Washington.

In tandem with this work, Peters also is passionate about creating a supportive and inclusive workplace, serving as a mentor with the Women at PBS Employee Resource Group. There, she actively encourages and guides aspiring women in engineering and environmental sciences. She also has been part of the development and implementation of a groundbreaking mentorship program within the company, which aims to partner early-career team members with experienced professionals, helping them gain valuable insight, advice and guidance. Peters participates annually in Engineering Week, which brings together high school students and established engineers around the community, helping inspire and guide ambitious engineers while bridging generational gaps.
