Jennifer Beattie, president of CIDA Architects and Engineers Inc., leads a woman-owned, full-service design firm focused on value-driven architecture and lasting client partnerships. Under her leadership, CIDA has grown to 43 employees with women comprising 54 percent of staff and holding key leadership positions across the organization.

Beattie has guided the firm through 34 years of operations. The company has been named one of Oregon Business Magazine’s Best Companies to Work for in Oregon for seven of the past nine years, including three consecutive recognitions.

She prioritized women’s retention and mentorship, particularly during the pandemic, increasing women on the design staff while fostering workplace culture where employees average 10-year tenures. Staff programs like the DEI Committee and Green Team foster inclusion and sustainability. CIDA has built long-term partnerships with WBE firms.

Beattie established the CIDAGives Program, providing employees 32 paid hours annually to support community causes including The Salvation Army, Catalyst NW and Beaverton School District.
