Marc Wiater is a senior estimator at Colas Construction, where he has grown from an entry-estimator to a senior leader within the organization.

Wiater joined Colas Construction at the ground level, progressing steadily through the ranks for nearly 12 years. He has played a key role in the company’s growth into one of Oregon’s most respected commercial general contractors. In his current role, Wiater leads complex preconstruction efforts with an emphasis on accuracy, transparency and disciplined cost management. He is recognized for his ability to bring clarity to challenging projects, his financing strategies, and his ability guide teams around realistic budgets and support clients through thoughtful decision-making early in the process.

Beyond his project work, Wiater plays a central role in shaping the performance and standards of Colas Construction’s estimating department, reinforcing a culture of ownership and high expectations across the team. Colleagues and partners recognize Wiater for his direct communication, reliability and ability to navigate complexity without losing focus on outcomes. His long-term dedication to Colas Construction and consistent contributions to the company’s growth have established him as a trusted leader within the organization.

Wiater has been involved with AGC, the Design Build Institute of America and NAMC-Oregon. He also volunteers as a youth sports coach and with Helping Hands.
