Northwest Infrastructure is demolishing the Dirty Duck building for general contractor Fortis Construction, who will be building the Blanchet House of Hospitality homeless center on the site.

Castles go up for Sand in the City fundraiser
The annual Sand in the City fundraiser at Pioneer Courthouse Square was held Friday. The three-day event, which kicked off with Friday's sand sculpture building contest, is held as a benefit for Impact Northwest.
