Oregon Zoo chooses engineering firm for elephant project

The Oregon Zoo recently awarded Equilibrium Engineers the structural design contract for its new $40 million Elephant Habitat project. The project is part of a $125 million bond the state passed in 2008 and will increase the current pachyderm property from 1.5 to 6 acres. It will involve construction of a new elephant management building, indoor viewing hall and life support system facility.
