Preliminary designs for Ridgefield (Wash.) School District projects were released this week for the three major construction efforts: a new multipurpose facility at Ridgefield High School, and additions at South Ridge Elementary School and the Union Ridge Elementary/View Ridge Middle School campus.
Woodburn High School reconstruction sluggish
Eighteen months have passed since an arson fire destroyed portions of Woodburn High School, but the building has not received any work. A start date has not been set, and a contractor for the project has not even been hired.
School bond receives voter approval
Multnomah County voters this week passed a historic, $482 million construction bond measure, which will lead to three high schools 鈥 Franklin, Grant and Roosevelt 鈥 being renovated and one K-8 school 鈥 Faubion 鈥 being replaced over an eight-year-period. The bond also will provide money for smaller repair projects at multiple PPS schools.
