Lang House for sale

The Lang House, at 2188 S.W. Park Place, was built in 1905 in the Colonial Revival architecture style that was common in the area at the time. The Lang family lived in the home until 1960, and today it is 100 percent leased with commercial tenants. It is for sale for $2.5 million.

Scottish Rite of Freemasonry Center

The Scottish Rite of Freemasonry Center, at 709 S.W. 15th Ave., was built in 1902 for that order of masons, but due to diminishing membership, the order decided to sell the building and look to move into a smaller space. The building has been on the market for at least four years.

Southwest Portland dental clinic renovated

An interior renovation of a 1,600-square-foot house in Southwest Portland is nearly finished. The 1950s-era structure at 5861 S.W. Beaverton Hillsdale Highway is being modified to become the Elkjer Dental Clinic, a family and cosmetic dental practice.

Controversial sewage project appealed to state

The city of Portland has appealed a decision by a consultant to deny permits for an expanded sewage treatment facility near the Fanno Creek pump station. The case for the request, which many Southwest Portland residents oppose, will go to the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals.
