University of Oregon raises bar for green building

University officials have adopted the Oregon Model for Sustainable Development, which is an amendment to the UO land-use plan that has governed development on the campus since 1914. The amendment calls for not only more stringent green practices for new buildings, but also for new development to help pay for energy-efficient retrofits at the university鈥檚 existing buildings.
