Citizen group wins land-use battle against University of Oregon

The Oregon Board of Higher Education on Friday overruled plans to construct the $17-million facility in the research park, which sits on a piece of university-owned Eugene riverfront property. Instead, the board unanimously voted in favor of plans that will locate ORI building on a site off the riverfront, in between two existing buildings.

Student group fights Eugene riverfront development

A proposed office development in Eugene may not move forward at the planned site along the Willamette River near the University of Oregon. School officials last week announced that they were working with developer Trammell Crow Co. on a feasibility study to see if a building for the Oregon Research Institute could be constructed on a different site.
