Before Intel started building like crazy in Hillsboro, the new Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel was the largest private construction project happening in the Portland area. ZGF designed and Hoffman is constructing the building, which is now visible from the Fremont Bridge – it's the one big building in the middle of its neighborhood.

Three Portland firms were honored in a nation-wide list released in the magazine of the American Institute of Architects this month. ZGF Architects was ranked ninth on the list, SERA Architects is number 44 and SRG Partnership is number 50.
