The State of Oregon  has issued a Request for Proposals for a Construction Manager/General Contractor for the Oregon Wireless Interoperability Network. The project will be a four phase, $468,00,000 project expected to be completed by January of 2013. ]
The Oregon Wireless Interoperablitiy Network (OWIN) is a project to consolidate the four existing State agency radio system (Dept of Forestry, Dept of Corrections, Dept of Transportation, and Dept of the Oregon State Police).
The CM/GC will design, construct, and manage a single statewide wireless commmunications infrastructure that provides interoperability among federal, state, local, and tribal governments. Proposals are to be received no later than July 24, 2009 at 2 pm.
