The City of Grants Pass has released the bid results for the 2009/2010 Overlay Phase 2 project. The City received bids for the project on August 13, 2009 at 3:00 pm.
Copeland Sand & Gravel, Inc. from Grants Pass, Oregon came in with the lowest bid at $143,820.00. Knife River Materials from Medford, Oregon was the second lowest bidder at $169,169.00, but was deemed non-responsive after it was found they did not fill out the bid proposal forms completely. The last company was Moser Paving, Inc., from Grants Pass, Oregon with a bid of $169,900.00. The engineer’s estimate for the Phase 2
Overlay is $158,876.00.
The project consists of cold plane pavement removal of approximately 68,420 SF of asphalt and approximately 98,580 SF of asphalt overlay including geotextile fabric, misc. valve and manhole adjustments, and overlay work to be completed on the following streets: Heidi Lane, 9th Street from Savage Street to Stieger Street, and 10th Street from “M” Street to “H” Street.
Copeland Sand & Gravel Inc., from Grants Pass, Oregon was also the lowest bidder for the 2009/2010 Overlay Phase 1 with a bid of $282,814.00. Â The engineer’s estimate for the Phase 1 Overlay was $443,030.20.
