Sean Pelletier, with Fortis Construction Co., pulls protective paper from one of the radiant heating and cooling panels in the Willamette Block Building in downtown Portland.

Built in 1882, the four-story structure at the corner of Southwest Yamhill Street and Second Avenue is nearing the end of a complete renovation including seismic, mechanical and electric upgrades. When completed by the end of the year, the remodeled building will be the new home for Portland Community College’s administration and staff.

Fortis Construction is the general contractor and SERA Architects is the designer of the project.
