We just received the blueprints and specifications for the “New LDS Meeting House” project for Forest Grove, but there was no reference regarding the bid date or time.聽 We called the selected General Contractor, Jacobsen Construction Company (Salt Lake City, Utah) to get the information but were told that the project had been cancelled.

Evidently, it was decided that since there are two other LDS Stakes in the area, another one was not needed.聽 Jacobsen Construction expressed disappointment that the project was cancelled.聽 We’re disappointed, too.聽 The estimated cost for the project was approximately $5 million.聽 It would have been a great construction project for our area and would have helped a lot of subcontractors that are struggling at this time
