A historic hotel in downtown Portland is getting a new lease on life. Interior demolition, a seismic upgrade and an exterior remodel are taking place at the Hotel Crystal, a four-story, triangular building at the corner of Southwest Stark Street and 12th Avenue. The hotel will have 57 rooms on the upper floors, a restaurant on the ground level and a spa in the basement. General contractor Pacific Crest Construction Co. is in charge of the renovation designed by Ankrom Moisan Associated Architects.
