Brian Troy with Western Waterproofing Co. power-washes sandstone at the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Portland. The historic building at the corner of Southwest 12th Avenue and Alder Street is undergoing an exterior restoration in which loose pieces of stone will be removed, existing stone will be cleaned and a consolidator will be applied to strengthen and help harden the sandstone. Western Waterproofing is the general contractor for the project that should be completed in the next week.
