A new Umpqua Bank in the Alberta neighborhood held a grand opening on Thursday featuring local food and music. The 2,400-square-foot bank in the Alberta Central building, at 1745 N.E. Alberta St., will provide: space to display work of local artists; an electronic community bulletin board; space for local merchants to display their wares; and a Computer Café for online banking, internet surfing and listening to music. Also, a roll-up garage door will connect the bank with the large, outdoor public plaza in the center of the Alberta Central building. Howard S. Wright Constructors was the general contractor and Pat Hills Design was the architect for the tenant improvement project. Ditroen took care of environmental graphics and signage.
