Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation oversees more than 7,000 acres of parks, trails, sports fields and open space. Some of these areas are intended to preserve the natural topography and character of the specific properties, and will not comply with ADA standards. However, the department continually strives to provide a diverse experience for all users. A small works project for removing physical barriers at Marine Park and Memory softball field is now out for bid.
Work at Marine Park includes site clearing, sawcut concrete, installation of new concrete sidewalk, picnic tables with concrete slabs, modifications to the irrigation system, seeded lawn repair, and other work.
Work at Memory Field consists of site clearing, sawcut asphalt, installation of new concrete sidewalk, asphalt pavement, detectable warning pattern, pavement markings, lawn repair, and other work.
