Well, not quite anything. We want anything about the built industry and related topics you read about in the 91ÊÓƵ.

So give us your gripes, your compliments, your conspiracy theories, whatever you’d like. We’d like to publish your thoughts in the paper and on djcorprod.wpengine.com.

Of course, we’ll edit your submissions for grammar and spelling. We also won’t run anything that is libelous.

We don’t have requirements for content or length. However, only the most pertinent submissions will be published, and shorter submissions are more likely to run than extremely long ones. Aim for around 300 words.

One more thing: We need to know your name and where you live. If you have a good reason that your name shouldn’t run, tell us, and we’ll run only your initials. The more information readers have about you, the more seriously they will take your letter. We will also need a phone number where we can reach you (we won’t publish your phone number). We need to be able to confirm you are who you say you are.

Send your emails to Aaron Spencer at [email protected].

Guidelines for writing:

1. Topic should be related to the built environment: construction, engineering, architecture, planning, energy, transportation, real estate, development or sustainability.

2. Length should be 300-ish words. Can be shorter or longer if really, really necessary.

3. No obscenities. No libel (false claims)

4. Must provide first and last name, city and phone number. (We will not print your phone number. We just need it to contact you to make sure you are who you say you are. If you feel uncomfortable with us printing your name, let us know.)

5. Email submissions to [email protected].
