Fifteen groups representing Oregon’s nascent alternative industry will meet tomorrow at 3 p.m. at David Evans and Associates to discuss strategy for extending the life of the for renewable energy projects.

The tax credits for renewable energy projects are set to expire in 2012, but some say an extension is necessary to keep alternative energy businesses in the state. According to Robert Grott, head of the Northwest Environmental Business Council, the groups will lobby for a 2016 extension of the tax credit during the 2011 legislative session.
