The lobby of the Spalding Building in downtown Portland is in the middle of a remodel. The 12-story, 99-year-old building at 319 S.W. Washington St. had lost some of its historic character after several renovations. After the lobby is completed, older elevators will be replaced and a new entry canopy will be built. Howard S. Wright Constructors is the general contractor and Hennebery Eddy Architects is the designer of the renovation.
