Work begins on Meier & Frank warehouse for Vestas

Renovation work is beginning on the former Meier & Frank warehouse in Portland’s Pearl District. The building at the corner of Northwest Everett Street and 14th Avenue will be the headquarters of wind turbine company Vestas American Wind Technology. The remodel, scheduled to wrap up in early 2012, is being done by general contractor Skanska USA with design work by Ankrom Moisan Associated Architects and GBD Architects. Gerding Edlen Development is the building’s owner.
