A 4,200-square-foot building in Portland’s Pearl District is being rehabbed to become a retail wine store as well as a unique place for helping chefs, food cart operators and caterers develop their fledgling businesses. When completed this winter, KitchenCru at 333 N.W. Broadway will have a community kitchen and food preparation space that will be a “culinary incubator” for food entrepreneurs starting companies. General contractor Sherlock Homes is remodeling the exterior of the building while Oregon Restaurant Equipment is designing the interior.
