Two cranes, one from Campbell Crane & Rigging and one from Mowat Construction Co., placed four 115-foot-long, 80,000-pound girders to support the middle of the Portland Streetcar flyover bridge in Southeast Portland. The bridge, a part of the Portland Streetcar Eastside Loop project, will extend to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. The 425-foot-long span will be supported by 47 piles that are up to 120 feet long. Mowat Construction is the contractor on the bridge while Stacy & Witbeck Inc. is the general contractor for the entire 3.3-mile project.
