The city of Woodburn is accepting sealed bids in writing from qualified contractors for the renovation of the Woodburn Aquatic Center. The facility at 190 Oak St. opened in 1995 with a 25-yard-by-25-meter pool with a water slide and rope swing. The center has an on-deck spa, a wading pool for small children and a sauna in each locker room.

This project consists of refinishing two pools, replacing deck trench drains, and performing miscellaneous upgrades. Work is scheduled to begin no later than Sept. 6 and be substantially completed by Sept. 26.
