Who doesn’t love some juicy sign gossip?
According to city documents, two new projects by Security Signs are on their way to downtown Portland.
At , we’ll be graced with a pop-out climber and projected sign to add to US Outdoor Store’s canopies (Check out the status quo on ). If that format looks familiar, you’ll be interested to know that Security Signs has also done work for . Hope you like their style.
Around the corner at Southwest Sixth Avenue and Alder Street, the Daphne’s Greek Cafe sign is being replaced with the new Oregon State University Beaver Store, and . This one’s less flashy, partially due to the fact that it’s going on a historic building.
Security Sign’s Dylan Martin said that the process off approving the Beaver Store sign took longer than he expected, considering they’re replacing a sign of the same size and kind.
“(The city) always wants it a little smaller, a little more compact. Ultimately, I’m grateful that they let us replace what was there.”
Martin said that OSU spent a lot of time and money on the new Beaver Store sign design. I don’t like it quite as much as the , which, wait for it… was also made by Security Signs.
