I wrote a story earlier this week on the and the five beautiful homes that are going to be showcased on the top of Bull Mountain in Tigard.
The angle of the story is that the homes are going to be about half the price compared to those in years past. Homes this year range from $700,000 to just under $1 million, where in years past they ranged from about $1 million to $2.6 million.
The headline read, 鈥淪treet of Dreams becomes street of realistic dreams,鈥 and everyone in the newsroom joked about how unaffordable $700,000 for a home seemed.
Well, for those of us that still can鈥檛 even dream of buying a home in the reduced price range, there is another home show going on through the weekend with homes in the range of $440,000 to $485,000, located on Bull Mountain, only a mile and a half away from Street of Dreams.

The show is called , and much like Street of Dreams, it features five energy efficient homes that showcase cutting-edge building features that are built by local contractors. The homes range from 2,818 square feet to 3,571 square feet.
The homes are also all built to Earth Advantage鈥檚 Silver Rating and feature some form of solar power.
The joke around the office will now be: when are they going to come up with a Street of Dreams that journalists can afford?
