Fifteen projects in three categories will move forward as finalists in the 2011 DMWESB TopProjects, the Daily Journal of Commerce announced today.
The awards honor disadvantaged firms, minority- and women-owned firms, and emerging small businesses that performed outstanding work on construction projects completed in Oregon and Southwest Washington during 2010.
A panel of judges from the region’s building industry will evaluate the finalist entries based on criteria that include quality of work and excellence in overcoming project obstacles.
Winners in the categories of public buildings, private buildings and public works/infrastructure/transportation will be announced during an Oct. 27 awards event that will run from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Nines Hotel in downtown Portland.
