With all the buzz going on , the new stretch of downtown Portland where seven electric vehicle charging stations have been installed, you might overlook another addition to Portland’s EV infrastructure.

, that fancy-pants establishment on the waterfront, announced today its new wall-mounted charging station. It’s of the Blink Wall-Mount variety and is the first charging station on a hotel in Oregon (says Hotel Fifty).

The station is part of the EV Project of Western Oregon.  That’s a public-private partnership sponsored by the Department of that is managed by ECOtality, Inc.

Guests to the hotel and to the restaurant H5O bistro and bar can charge their cars up for free, as long as they pay for valet parking.

Speaking of H5O, it used to have this dinner special on Tuesday night where the waiter would flip a coin and if you called it right, your dinner would be on the house. Sounds cool, right? Well, it would have been if I wouldn’t have lost.
