Grimm news for Troutdale bridge
The Oregon Department of Transportation announced yesterday that starting at 3 p.m. today, the historic Columbia River highway over the Sandy River will be closed on the count of witches and werewolves. The new NBC series Grimm, based off of the classic fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm, will be shooting at that location for 12 hours today.
Moody Avenue reconstruction planned to be mostly finished by fall
When work on Southwest Moody Avenue is done, the road will be higher in the middle and have an at-grade crossing with light-rail tracks as they approach a new transit bridge nearby. The road also will include three traffic lanes and bike and pedestrian facilities.
Construction for Seattle floating bridge hits milestone
Crews in Aberdeen, Wash., on Friday completed part of a $4.65 billion project to revamp part of State Route 520, which includes replacement of a floating bridge over Lake Washington.
