Publicly-traded real estate investment trust Equity Residential has sold off two of its Portland-area apartment buildings to the Swedish pension fund adviser Alecta Real Estate USA LLC.

The San Diego-based real estate investment trust, American Assets Trust, has entered into an agreement with the San Francisco-based developer Shorenstein Properties to purchase downtown Portland's newest office building, First & Main.
Subaru signs huge build-to-suit Portland lease
The Portland office of Grubb & Ellis announced Thursday that Subaru signed a 10-year lease for a build-to-suit distribution center, training and office space at the Rivergate Corporate Center III, located on a 19.3-acre parcel at 14510 N. Lombard St.
Portland apartment complex sells for $8M
A 96-unit apartment complex in Southwest Portland has sold for $8.1 million. The Markana, a 96,578-square-foot building at 8585 S.W. Canyon Lane, sold to the Portland Canyon Investors partnership of Seattle.
Ladd Tower sells to institutional investor
Invesco Institutional, a Dallas-based institutional investment company, has acquired the 332-unit Ladd Tower apartment building in downtown Portland for $79.35 million.

One of Oregon's largest companies, Jeld-Wen, successfully unloaded a large portion of its real estate portfolio late last week.
Hallock & McMillan Building sold
One of Portland's most historically significant buildings has sold for $700,000. The Hallock & McMillan Building, at 237 S.W. Naito Parkway, was purchased by John Russell of Russell Development Co.
Clackamas apartment complex sells for $17M
A San Francisco-based real estate investment firm has closed on the purchase of the 220-unit Twin Creeks Apartment complex on Sunnyside Road in Clackamas. The firm purchased the complex for $17 million from Twin Creeks Apartments LLC, the Portland firm that developed the apartments in 1996 and has operated it ever since.
Salem Hospital looks to purchase former school
Salem Hospital is looking to purchase the former home of the Oregon School for the Blind. The hospital has entered into a purchase agreement with the state, which closed the school last year because of low enrollment.
Clackamas shopping center sells for $21.5M
A shopping center in Clackamas has sold for $21.5 million, becoming the first non-portfolio deal of its size in the Portland-metro area since 2008, according to GVA Kidder Mathews' Portland office.
Southeast Portland apartments sell for $1.7M
San Francisco-based real estate investment firm Playa Properties has purchased a 17-unit apartment complex at 600-610 S.E. Cesar Chavez Blvd. The complex sold for $1.7 million.
Firm buys Vancouver Market Center for $11M
Retail Opportunity Investments, a New York state-based real estate investment corporation, announced on Monday the firm acquired the Vancouver Market Center in Vancouver, Wash., for $11.2 million.
