PROJECT SIGNIFICANCE: Aloha Family Housing will provide 81 apartments 鈥� a mix of studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units 鈥� at affordable rates for families earning 30 percent to 60 percent of area median income (currently $31,950 to $63,900 for a four-person household). The facility also will hold a manager’s unit. The site is close to transit, parks/natural areas, schools, large employers, medical facilities, and retail businesses.

Planned amenities include private bike storage, a laundry room, a community room with a kitchen, on-site offices for property management and resident services, and a courtyard with a playground, raised garden beds, barbecue grills and outdoor seating. A full rooftop solar array will be installed; the complex is designed to receive Earth Advantage platinum certification.

BRIDGE is committed to 20 percent to 30 percent participation by subcontractors and professional service providers with COBID (Certification Office for Business Inclusion and Diversity), MWESB (Minority-owned, Woman-owned, Emerging Small Business) or SDVBE (Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Business Enterprise) certification. Also, Hacienda CDC will provide youth and family services and market the property to the historically neglected Latinx and Asian American communities.
