PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Ser谩n Bioscience LLC,聽in collaboration with Mortenson, is creating a CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Process) facility in Bend. Slated to open in fall 2027, it will be the third building and centerpiece of Ser谩n鈥檚 new 100,000-square-foot commercial campus.

The team is employing a progressive design-build approach for the project. A topping-out ceremony for the new building was held earlier this month, marking the transition from structural work to interior build-out. Approximately four acres of the 14-acre campus are being used, allowing room for future development.

The latest building marks a milestone in Ser谩n鈥檚 mission to provide fully integrated support, including preclinical services, clinical trial product manufacturing, and commercial-scale production of modern therapeutics. Last fall, Ser谩n completed two new warehouse and light manufacturing buildings totaling 50,000 square feet. These spaces support critical materials handling, packaging, labeling and logistics functions.

The commercial site will operate as an extension of the company鈥檚 90,000-square-foot clinical development and manufacturing campus nearby.
