PROJECT SIGNIFICANCE: Slightly east of the Interstate 5 exit for the Clark County Fairgrounds, a 238-unit apartment complex is on the rise. South Ridge Apartments will have 17 buildings, including two community buildings. The latter ones will hold leasing offices, a shared community room and a fitness room. The property will also feature swimming pools, garages, and carports.

The development on two neighboring properties is part of a master plan of a new Clark County residential zone designed with careful consideration of rolling topography and adjacent wetlands. Construction of South Ridge West is on track to finish in August (leasing is under way). Completion of South Ridge East is scheduled to follow in February 2024. Construction of 132 additional units on an adjacent site will begin in spring 2024.

Approximately 150 workers have participated in construction to date. The team has had to overcome challenges such as dealing with COVID-related mandates and protocols, and rising costs and low availability of materials.
