Port of Hood River Releases Early Results for RFQ: Halyard Bldg

The Port of Hood River has released a list of respondents that submitted proposals on August 11, 2009 at 5:00 pm. The Port had issued a request for qualifications from general contracting companies for the construction of the proposed Halyard Building in the Waterfront Business Park located in Hood River, Oregon.

Oregon will be test market for electric vehicle study

Oregon could receive up to 1,000 Nissan electric vehicles and 2,500 charging stations soon after being chosen as a test market for a study on electric vehicles by the Electric Transportation Engineering Corp. eTec recently received $99.8 million in federal funding to study electric vehicle usage; the study will guide national standards for electric vehicle adoption in the future.

Bummer, dudes…

Scheduled for tonight鈥檚 City Council Meeting for the City Astoria is the 鈥淩ejection of Bids鈥 for the 37th Streetand Leif Erikson Drive Pedestrian Improvements project that bid on July 27th. The City considered the bids but was advised by legal council to reject all of them because they were 鈥渘ot in the best interest of the City鈥.
