Canstruction
The 14th annual Canstruction competition at Pioneer Place brought in food and money for the Oregon Food Bank. Employees from Portland-area engineering and architecture firms built sculptures out of cans that will later be donated.
Barrel House
A 60-year-old warehouse in inner Southeast Portland is being transformed into the Barrel House, a new pub and beer warehouse for Cascade Brewing. Part of the space will be for barrel aging and bottle conditioning, and another part will be for a small pub and an outdoor dining deck.
Providence Office Park
The Providence Office Park II project at the corner of Northeast 44th Avenue and Halsey Street includes a 300,000-square-foot, six-story medical office building, a 211,000-square-foot parking structure and the creative outdoor park that will be open to the public.
Pearl Self Storage facility
Work is wrapping up to install pre-finished AEP Span on the Pearl Self Storage facility in Northwest Portland. When completed this spring, the building will have 100,000 square feet of space and 750 units.
McCoy Village Apartments
The 55-unit McCoy Village Apartments in Northeast Portland are getting new rain-screen siding, windows, doors, walkways and roofing.
First Presbyterian Church in Corvallis
The First Presbyterian Church in Corvallis, more than 100 years old, is getting a new social hall. The 6,500-square-foot addition to the church will include a hall, a full kitchen, restrooms and a connection to the existing brick building.
Oregon Tradeswomen make earthen floor
The new home for the Oregon Tradeswomen is in the Heritage Building, a renovated building that is certified LEED gold. The building will have an earthen floor, a combination of clay subsoil, chipped straw, sand and water.
Kaiser medical complex in Hillsboro
The Kaiser Westside Medical Center, next to the Kaiser Sunset Medical Office in Hillsboro, will have a hospital, a nursing tower, a medical office building, a parking structure and a central utility plant.
Pacific University expanding Hillsboro campus
A new Pacific University building will be part of the Health Professions Campus in Hillsboro. The four-story, 62,000-square-foot brick building will house the admissions office, the School of Professional Psychology, the School of Occupational Therapy and research labs.
Volunteers in Hillsboro
Emerick Construction volunteered time and talent to upgrade the Robledo home at no cost as part of an effort for Rebuilding Together Washington County Inc.
I-5 construction
The Interstate 5 Preservation Project from the Tualatin River to Wilsonville for the Oregon Department of Transportation includes the construction of a sound wall on the west side of the freeway that will have 280 panels when completed.
Electrical checkup
The upgraded Norwood Pump Station building in Tualatin now has a 700-square-foot building to house the new pumps, water lines and electrical system.
