Spa Building, a former funeral home, for sale
The Spa Building, at 210 N.W. 17th Ave., was built in 1937 as a funeral home and operated as such until 2005. In 2006, it was renovated into a day spa that went out of business last year.

Durkheimer House for sale
The Durkheimer House, at 2415 N.W. Lovejoy St., is a 7,800-square-foot, Colonial Revival home built in 1899. The seven-bedroom, four-bathroom house is for sale for $1.395 million. Though the property is zoned residential, the space would work for other uses, as long as the developer could circumvent city zoning.
William Temple House for sale
The William Temple House, at 2023 N.W. Hoyt St., looks something like Hogwarts or the House on Haunted Hill. Despite its prominence, it has been for sale for four years. The asking price for the 20,000-square-foot property is $2.7 million.
Sutton Place receives upgrade
An upgrade is under way at Northwest Portland condominium complex Sutton Place, more than 90 years old. When the renovation of the west side wraps up in about six weeks, the building at the corner of Northwest Everett Street and 18th Avenue will have new windows, a repaired roof and fire escape and repaired water damage.
Film Exchange Building for lease
The Film Exchange Building, at 935 N.W. 19th Ave., was built in 1931 as a regional distribution center for six major movie studios, where film was repaired and movies were screened for local theater managers. The property is being redeveloped and has space for lease.
Northwest Portland complex renovated
An exterior renovation is nearly finished at a residential complex in Northwest Portland. The seven units at the corner of Northwest Thurman Street and 25th Avenue are getting new siding, porches and paint.
PSU students tackle Northwest Portland site
A group of six Portland State University graduate students recently presented a development plan for the Con-way site in Northwest Portland. The project was part of a summer-long workshop.
The Plymouth
The Plymouth, at 1230 N.W. 21st Ave., is one of the ubiquitous, turn-of-the-century apartment complexes in the area. But it's the only one that is for sale, and it isn't lacking its own, unique charm.
