Viewpoint Construction Software acquires Florida tech company
The Portland-based provider of construction project management software announced, Wednesday, it has acquired for an undisclosed amount Bandon, Florida-based ACS Connect, a 27-year-old mobile solutions provider. The acquisition follows a recent partnership between the two companies in August that resulted in the launch of a Mobile Field Manager for Viewpoint’s products.

Viewpoint Construction Software last week launched a new application designed to connect workers in the field with operations and back of office support via smart phone. It’s called Viewpoint Mobile Field Manager, and it essentially gives companies the ability to capture labor time, equipment usage and production on a job and communicate it directly to office personnel.
Viewpoint sees steady growth in hard-knock economy
Amid tough times for the construction industry in general, business is booming for Viewpoint Construction Software and other software providers such as Sage Construction and Real Estate in Beaverton. It’s a sign, perhaps, that contractors are increasingly interested in technology.
