PROJECT DESCRIPTION: For this tenant improvement, an existing space was converted into a new Forrit Credit Union branch with offices, an employee kitchen/break room, restrooms, and a lobby area with two teller spots and a mobile teller/greeter stand.聽This was JHC Construction鈥檚 second build-out for Forrit Credit Union.

The team noted the work was challenging because of the integration of a two-tier acoustic system that needed to be lowered by six feet while also being intricately interwoven with the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and sprinkler systems of the five-story building, as well as the utility systems for the new tenant.

Achieving this task required precise laser elevation measurements for every element located 12 to 18 feet above the finished floor. Multiple rounds of planning and engineering were necessary to ensure all components fit within a tight 10-foot overhead space, with only 2 inches of clearance. Crews also had to attach everything to a post-tensioned slab.
