AT&T is proposing to install a new wireless communications facility. New operating equipment would be located inside the building basement with two HVAC units (screened) on the outside at ground level. An equipment vault would be located between the pole and the building to make necessary connections. The project is intended to meet AT&T’s coverage objectives within a geographic area in high demand. (Note: the antennas and other aerial equipment would be on a power pole; they are being permitted separately via the Portland Bureau of Transportation.)

The proposal is for the replacement of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services’ Force Avenue Pump Station. The pump station at 11415 N. Force Ave. would be decommissioned (facilities would be demolished and the site restored with varied native plant species) and a new pump station would be constructed with the extension of utilities to the Expo Road site.
