Oregon Symphony
The last phase is under way on an upgrade to the second-floor offices of the Oregon Symphony in the Pittock Building in downtown Portland.
McKay Elementary School
McKay Elementary School is one of four Beaverton School District schools getting seismic upgrades through the Oregon Emergency Management Seismic Rehabilitation Grant Program.
Troutdale library
The 6,000-square-foot Troutdale library is now open in the Cherry Park Market Center. The new storefront branch of the Multnomah County Library will house 20,000 books, audio-visual materials, periodicals and computers.
NW 23rd Chase bank
5,300-square-foot space that formerly housed a copy center at the corner of Northwest Lovejoy Street and 23rd Avenue is being transformed into a Chase bank.
PSU Science Building 2
Work on Portland State University’s Science Building 2 is proceeding. The building is getting a major seismic overhaul. Also, classrooms, laboratories, electrical systems and HVAC systems are being upgraded.
Lofts at Beaverton Round
Work is nearly finished at the Lofts at Beaverton Round. The mixed-use building at the corner of Southwest Crescent Street and Hall Boulevard is getting an upgraded building envelope that features new metal siding, windows and doors.
DAWG Terrace
The apartment building at 638 S.E. 26th in Portland is in the middle of an extensive renovation. Now called DAWG Terrace, because of it now being dog friendly, the two-story building is getting a new roof, new steel-framed concrete walkways, new exterior skin installed over a rain screen and an array of solar panels on the roof.
620 Building
The 620 Building in downtown Portland is getting a new tenant. A 6,200-square-foot space is being renovated to become the new home of Oregon Live.
RiverEast Center
One of two projects at Coaxis Inc. in Southeast Portland is substantially completed and the other is nearly finished. Employees of the company in the RiverEast Center will soon be working out in a new exercise room with an attached massage room.
Shriners Hospital
Now that the new addition is completed, the original Shriners Hospital is being remodeled. When work is completed in spring 2011, there will be a new entrance and lobby, new exam rooms and an upgraded outpatient clinic on the first floor.
Hillside Manor
A 136-ton Axis crane removed two old heating and ventilation units from the roof of the Hillside Manor public housing building in Milwaukie. They are being replaced with state-of-the-art HVAC units.
OHSU child care center
A former warehouse at 3325 S.W. Moody Ave. in Portland’s South Waterfront District is being transformed into a day care center. The 20,000-square-foot building will house the Oregon Health & Science University child care center that will be operated by Portland-based Children’s Creative Learning Centers.
