After a recent extensive renovation, a century-old building in Northwest Portland is getting new tenants. The brick structure at Northwest Upshur Street and 18th Avenue will house an art bar and café, a salon and office space.

The one-story Speedometer Building in the Pearl District has undergone a complete interior and exterior renovation. The space is being leased to Greenlight Bikes, a distributor of Kalkhoff bicycles from Germany.

Director Park

Southwest Ninth Avenue between Yamhill and Taylor streets is being renovated as part of the Director Park construction. The street and adjacent sidewalk is being lined with the same granite as the park.

Pioneer Courthouse

Work on Pioneer Courthouse in downtown Portland is nearly finished. The historic structure's north side is the last one to get an upgrade. The main part of the renovation project is honing and patching the sandstone and then restoring it to its original texture and color.

Work on the Alberta Central building in Northeast Portland is nearly finished. The mixed-use, two-story structure on Northeast Alberta Street was built a century ago. It now has new retail space and a central plaza at the front.

Gleason Boat Ramp

The boat launch at the M. James Gleason Boat Ramp closed in November. It will be demolished and replaced with a new boat launch that will minimize wake and the collection of debris near the launch.

Key Bank

One of several Key Bank construction projects, the East Morrison branch in Southeast Portland is replacing its front glass. The job also includes some interior work. The renovation, done mostly at night, is expected to be finished by spring.

A new playing field in Hillsboro Stadium should be ready in time for spring. The stadium, in the Gordon Faber Recreation Complex, will get 170,000 square feet of FieldTurf, an artificial athletic surface.
